Reel Life Monsters happily shambles back to Burdall's Yard with a double bill of transfemme directed horror films, in celebration of Trans Day of Visibility. With an introduction to both films and a short talk on transness in horror by beloved friend of the organisation Jas Bevan Niss, RLM will be showing I Saw the TV Glow (directed by Jane Schoenbrun), followed by T-Blockers (directed by Alice Maio Mackay). The majority of RLM are trans and/or non-binary, and we want to celebrate TDoV with some incredible films that are vitally important to the trans community, and the LGBTQIA+ community as a whole. Dressing up isn’t compulsory, but if you fancy putting together your best trans pride look (however that looks for you, we’re not the gender police) we won’t stop you! Doors will be opening at 17:45 and Jas’ talk will start at 18:15. There will be a short break between the two films for you to get food and/or drink, go to the loo, and decompress as needed. This event is in partnership with the Curious Minds Festival.
