I am interested in the effects colour’s and patterns of light have on the landscape. I often paint high contrast paintings that capture a moment of intensity and intamacy, that draw the viewer into a moment, such as sunrise, sunset or a patch of sun on the hedgrow.
I explore the contrasts of warmth, shade, dark and light to portray the ethereal and other worldly feeling that these places give me/.
I use acrylic and oil paint with energetic and loose brushwork to try to maintain a painterly quality, creating an impression and essence of place that capture these moments and feelings”
If you cannot make this event, not to worry as ‘Chasing Light’ will be availble to view up until the 3rd of April, whenever we have an event on here.
Our current exhibition ‘Chasing Light’ has been joyously filling our cafe/bar area with an amazing display of colour, and now is your chance to catch up with the artist behind it all!
With an mixture of originals and prints on display, Jo’s artwork is available for purchase, and with a number sold all ready, we advise you make your way along to this ‘meet the artist’ event a snap one up before they are all gone.
